Hello dear visitor! My name is Jeoff, and this is my page dedicated to pencil drawing. Well actually, it's more of a story about how I got into drawing with pencil, even though I hardly tried drawing before at all, and if you're looking on getting into pencil drawing I hope you'll find it helpful.

Transforming Nature Exhibition – Etherow Park, compstall, England

Image by art makes me smile
Wire wrapping detail on bench
Curated by Rosanne Robertson the Idea of this exhibition was to transform nature. It was never an option to try and improve on Mother Nature as that is an impossibility as far as I am aware so I decided to use the trail which surrounds the reservoir by placing items which would not normally be seen in such a beautiful environment. It’s a busy trail used by families and many dog walkers and I wanted to draw people into looking more closely at the details of the natural colours and textures by placing work there which would initially catch the eye and draw them in to look further. I tried to use mainly bright and synthetic man made media for this purpose. There were many comments and much laughter which was great. Kids seem to really be excited by what they could see just poking out from around the next corner…
Shebule Alom video artist taped the reaction of the public as his own seperate work and Ruth Ball produced paintings of toy memorabilia which were hung around the trail. Emily Hardy another artist produced a large scale mobile inspired by pages of her sketchbooks which were photocopied and laminated to hang n the wind.
